The rosary is an esteemed and time-honoured prayer amongst Catholics. The rosary has been recommended by a succession of Popes including John Paul II who devoted an apostolic letter Rosarium Virginis Mariae extolling the virtues of this devotion. In 1917 when Our Lady appeared at Fatima, she told the three peasant children to pray the rosary frequently for world peace. We need to heed Our Lady’s request and pray the rosary more frequently. For many years parishioners of North Sydney and adjoining parishes have been gathering once a week to pray the rosary in the home of a host parishioner.
Any parishioner who wishes to host or participate in this community of prayer will be made most welcome.
